Why do you want to be staff?(min. 100 words): For a while now I have seen Staff consistently on the server helping people. They, for the most times, are good in helping people with their needs. But there will always be not enough staff members and there is no way to get over that. And that is for the simple reason that as servers grow, they need more staff and there are always more players joining than staff applying. This is one of the reasons why I want to be staff. I want to have the opportunity to help players that need help and save them a few minutes, even if it doesn’t seem a lot, waiting for a staff member who is busy somewhere else where. Because that few minutes is still time that a player could be roleplaying and not be waiting for someone to help them with an issue. Me becoming a staff member will also remove stress of some staff who are consistently active. There have been occasions that I have seen staff being wanted in three places at once and they must decide priorities, something no staff member want to have to do. Having more staff could result in less stress on moderators and will help Roleplay go more smoothly. I know one staff member doesn’t sound a lot but that’s Two people who could help and not just one. Every little help ©Tesco. My next reason to why I want to be staff is that I think I can dissolve situations. I know how when someone is angry, they say things that they might not mean and I, as a human being, can understand that and can act upon it. I Think that a dissolved situation can fix all issues but is getting there that is hard. I therefore believe I can help those players who may get Aggressive and help calm them down so I’m able to deal with the situation both calming but quickly because as staff I aim to get people roleplaying as much as I can. Finally, I think, personally, I am a very formal person. While I can get a bit ‘laughy’ at time for the most time I take most things seriously. This is commonly shown for what I do when roleplaying on the server. I’m usually working Bank worker and I work hard to act as professional as I can when doing my job. I would also do the same as staff. When being staff I would aim to be as serious as I can when helping people but also try and make being comfortable at the same time, so they don’t feel pressured to say anything. I think that is a crucial part of being staff because if you try to force information out of people then it just going to end up taking longer in the long run. Which equals less time Roleplaying.

What does RDM mean and give 1 example: RDM, formally known as Random Deathmatch, is the Umbrella term to describe the unlawful act of killing someone without any reasonable reason. An example of this would be if A Player was to Assault another Player in any way such as a punch or shooting at them; It would be classed as RDM even if it doesn’t kill them. In that case it could be identified as Attempted RDM.

What does NLR mean and give 1 example: NLR which stands for New life rule is the Rule which states how a player should behave after they have died. The rule states that the player cannot return to their place of death for a set amount of time. On [G-G] it is Five Minutes [Rule: Section2.6]. If the player returns before the set amount of time, then their actions cannot and will not be acted upon in a roleplay environment until the NLR Timer has finished. Only then the player can continue to Roleplay at the place of death.

What is Prop Kill and give 1 example: Prop Kill is when a Player meaningfully kills another player with a Prop, any item that can be picked up with; Physics guns, Gravity guns or the player's hand with 'E'. There is only an exception to this rule if the Player with the prop mistakenly kills a player where in that case it could be justified as a 'Mistake' and not Prop Kill.

What is FailRP and give 1 example: FailRP is an Extensive term that is used to describe any actions that would not be done in a real life environment. This is a very large Subject, so it can be hard to moderate, an example of FailRP would be that if someone fell off a building there could be two outcomes; They could Roleplay they are injured and need EMS (medical) help or they could Continue to run away like nothing even happened. This is a very controversial example as they are both highly used outcomes. Personally, I believe if the server is serious or Semi-serious should determine how people react to situations.

Tell us about yourself (Optional): My name is Daniel Newsom (Formally known as D.Newsom), and At this time I am Taking Business Studies and Computer Science. I spend a lot of time on Spreadsheets and trying to Fix things that Brooke end up breaking but that’s another story.

Did you read the Staff rules and Server rules? Yes

Firstly, I believe that Players who purposely come on to cause issues should be punished. And due to this motivation, I believe they should get harsher punishment then people who accidently make mistakes as everyone makes mistake.
What would you do if you saw a new player prop killing in spawn? If I saw a New player decides to start Prop Killing, I would firstly see their name. If someone has a ‘Stupid’ Steam name, then I know they either don’t care about their name or it’s the first signs of a griefer. Then I would Freeze them (With the command !Freeze/ 0 ulx freeze) so that more damage can be done. Or I would !jail them so they are confined. Once that the threat is restricted, I would have choices. If they are being aggressive through Voice or chat I would !gag them so no other placers are affected. Once the situation is under control, I would then ask them why they are Prop killing. The questions would be such as “Why are you prop killing?” or “Do you have a problem with the server?” even if they don’t answer I would then give a punishment. For a first offence I would probably give a 1Week Ban as they only came on to ruin Roleplay. If they have previous Prop killing offences, I would ask management to see if a 1 Month ban would be acceptable as I feel that they have no intent to Roleplay. If they still come on to Prop kill then I think a Permanent ban would be acceptable.

Person A pulls a gun on Person B, and Person B pulls out a gun and shoots Person A after Person A pointed a gun at them. Person A returns fire and kills Person B. What rules were broken? In this situation, Person B is in the wrong. Person A pointed a gun at someone unarmed so Person B cannot do anything. Its like a hostage situation so to speak. Everything was okay up to that point, however when Person B pulled a gun, he commits FailRP. This is because he had a gun pointed at him and if it was real life then he would have pulled a gun. When Person A then shot a killed person B he could have been punished for RDM however I wouldn’t take that against him as he was just retaliating against Person B breaking the rules.
Person A is killing a random person repeatedly, while a staff member is present and obviously sees what is going on but does nothing. What do you do? If I was a higher rank than the Staff Member, I would take charge and take appropriate action to the case. I would then question the staff member to why they didn’t do anything. If they were a higher rank, then I would possibly file a report against them for not doing the job of a staff member

Person B claims that Person A killed him randomly but has no evidence to support this. Person A claims Person B was being racist towards them. What do you do? Sadly, in this situation neither case is supported with evidence therefore no action could be taken against either party.
